Mindfulness Country Retreat Day
A beautiful day just for you, in which you will be able to get away from the demands and stresses of your daily life and enter into stillness and silence.
On this peaceful day, the focus will be on awareness of the present moment through silent meditation, contemplation and mindfulness of breath and body. The day is mostly conducted in silence.
Stillness and silence is very conducive to the nourishment and regeneration of ourselves. Beginners and experienced meditators are welcome. You will receive lunch and a light afternoon snack, as part of your retreat experience.
The mindfulness practice may enable you to see the patterns of your mind with greater clarity. It can train you to live in the precious present, instead of reliving the past or pre-living the future.
You will spend the day practicing mindfulness in various ways. There will be guided meditations, mindful walking intervals and silent mindful eating, to deepen your mindfulness skills. You will also explore mindfulness in relation to your thoughts and feelings.
We will also explore what interferes with the establishment of mindful awareness in our daily lives.
Mindfulness awareness enables us to be present with the things that arise within our moment to moment experience, with acceptance, detachment and calmness.
This mindfulness country retreat day is held four times yearly and you are most welcome to attend as often as you feel the need to refresh your energies.
